Nicki Maslin

Meet Nicki Maslin

From Aisle Chats to Community Champion

When full-time college student and customer service manager Nicki Maslin walked into a bank to finance her car, she didn’t expect to walk out with a whole new career path. But her curiosity got the best of her — asking question after question until the banker finally said, “You ever thought about working here?” That single spark of interest turned into a 25-year career in banking.

“I’ll never forget my first interview,” Nicki recalls. “I wore a brand-new suit, only to be handed an apron and sent into the grocery aisles to strike up banking conversations with strangers. That’s when it clicked — banking isn’t just about numbers. It’s about people.”

Since then, Nicki has done it all — from assistant manager to private banker, consumer lender to commercial lending officer. But no matter the title, her passion has always stayed the same: building genuine relationships that last.

In October 2022, Nicki joined Marine Bank as the Manager of the Sebastian Banking Center. “I had admired Marine Bank for years — the people-first culture, the community focus, the professionalism. Now that I’m part of it, I still have to pinch myself! Every single team member is committed to helping clients succeed and supporting each other like family.”

Born on the island of Guam while her parents served in the U.S. Air Force, Nicki grew up in Sebastian and graduated from IRCC and then went to University of Central Florida (Go Knights!). Outside of work, she’s cheering on her daughter at volleyball or softball games, or cross country meets and helping her cross the finish line at local races. At home you can find them soaking up sunshine by the pool or on the boat with their pup Lucky Girl or yelling "Go Noles!" on game day.

She’s a lover of themed parties, traveling, boating adventures, crafting, and working out with her Lift Fitness family.

Nicki is also a true force in the community — serving as Board Member & Ambassador Chair for the Sebastian River Area Chamber of Commerce, Board Member for the Fellsmere Frog Leg Festival, Social Chair & Committee Member for Dancing with Vero’s Star, where she is a proud former Mirrorball Trophy Winner benefiting Indian River County Healthy Start.  She’s also a dedicated Rotarian and a member of the Exchange Club.  Nicki’s not just a banker — she’s a connector, a cheerleader, a leader, and a hometown champion. At Marine Bank, she’s doing what she does best: helping people, lifting others up, and proving that community banking can make a big difference.
