Meet Thomas J. Schinske, Commercial Banking Officer
An Enthusiastic Focus on Relationships
Before leaving for college to study electrical engineering, Fort Pierce native Thomas Schinske took a temporary job at a bank. He enjoyed the ability to help people so much that he put his engineering aspirations on hold.
Twenty-three years later, Thomas has evolved and excelled in several areas of banking from management to business development and commercial lending. In 2021, he joined Marine Bank as a Commercial Loan Officer.
Thomas’s enthusiastic focus on relationship building has been an asset in his career. “I’m fascinated to learn how business owners started their business. Each story is unique and interesting in its own way. Whether it’s a start-up or an established business, I can always find a way to relate to the business owner and their passion.”
Thomas currently serves as the Treasurer for the Martin County Healthy Start and is member of the Fort Pierce Rotary Club. He is also a second year Real Men Wear Pink participant for the American Cancer Society. As a late-stage cancer survivor and seven years cancer-free, Thomas makes it a point to take at least two big vacations each year stating,” You never know when your time will be called.”
